If you are already at Grand Canyon West - on a bus tour, driving yourself, or staying nearby - this is the cheapest way to get onto the canyon floor. There is no Las Vegas transfer built into the price, so you pay for the flight and the landing rather than for half a day of logistics.
The aircraft is a premier ECO-Star with leather seating and wrap-around glass. You fly out over Hualapai tribal land, past the multicoloured rock layers of the mile-deep canyon, then descend and land 3,500 feet below the rim at a site roughly 300 feet above the Colorado River.
You get 20 minutes on the canyon floor, then a ten-minute flight back through the canyon walls to the West Rim airport. Forty minutes in total - short, but half of it is spent somewhere most Grand Canyon visitors never reach.
