The flight out crosses Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, with the Strip below you on departure. It is the same corridor the landing tours fly, so you are not trading away the aerial part to get the Skywalk.
The Skywalk itself is a horseshoe of glass cantilevered about 70 feet out from the West Rim, with the canyon floor some 4,000 feet below. You get roughly 45 minutes of ground time at Grand Canyon West before the return flight. Phones are now allowed on the bridge - the Hualapai Tribe relaxed its long-standing ban during 2026 - but cameras, bags and tripods still have to be left in a locker, which is why a souvenir photo is included.
